★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Given its history the city- mines/industrial it is doing remarkably well. Theatres, museums, shops. It is close to mountains less than an hour by train. You can get to Poland within a half an hour and Slovakia within an hour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The centre is getting better and better. They are having many events there; 2018 winter Olympics Korean center, Easter market, night runs, etc. There are many excellent restaurants and pubs near by. Great place for a walk with the family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was here for the Christmas markets with my boyfriend and kids. It was truly magical with all the music and festivities adding to the atmosphere. There was free ice skating if you brought your own boots which we were fortunate enough to have had. There was a lot of stalls selling homemade produce which was lovely to see. Also the kids really enjoyed the Ferris wheel after some hot chocolate and homemade Czech "langos, bramborove placky" . Would highly recommend seeing this place over the Christmas period!!
