V zámku si prohlédnete Muzeum Podblanicka, jako v pohádce si budete připadat v zámeckém parku – klikatí se jím řeka Blanice a brány, které do něj vedou, vypadají jako malé hrádky či zámečky. Ve Vlašimi se celkem vystřídalo na dvanáct různých panských rodů. Jejich erby si dnes můžete prohlédnout ve Vlašimské bráně a v erbovní síni v zámku. Archeologické nálezy prokazují existenci sídliště již v době před 30 tisíci lety př. n. l. V době před 2 tisíci lety př. n. l. sídlili v okolí Keltové, o 500 let později Germáni, poté Slované. Z roku 1303 pochází nejstarší zmínka o hradišti, na jehož místě založil v roce 1318 Hynek z Vlašimi tvrz, která měla chránit brod přes řeku Blanici. Dochovaly se z ní pouze části uvnitř okruhu dělostřeleckých bašt. První písemná zmínka o městečku pod tvrzí pochází z roku 1320. Tam se žije.Jsou tam lidi k sobě upřímněší a lidštější.Okamžitě bych se stěhoval.Žil jsem tam 10 let, bohužel kvůli práci jsem se musel vrátit. I don't know what people admire about her.
