Long-distance trade routes crossed in the Kácov area. The origin of the settlement can be connected with the Slavic settlement, when Slavic families moved to Bohemia before the 6th century and occupied the local fertile region. The oldest records of the town are associated with the name of Černčickýs from Kácov, whose coat of arms connects them with the lords of nearby Talmberk. Kácov and the extensive real estate associated with it reached the greatest economic boom and importance during the reign of the Čejks of Olbramovice in the pre-White Mountain period. In the description of Bohemia by Pavel Stránský, Kácov is mentioned as a manor of higher nobility. Today, the name of the village is associated thanks to the beautiful surroundings of the river Sázava mainly with tourism and boating. In the Kácov area, long-distance merchant roads were crossed in ancient times.
