Beautiful memorial in the park. The memorial is listed by people who have been unjustly executed by the past regime.

Milada Horáková memorial was unveiled on square "náměstí Hrdinů" on October 28, 2009. The text includes the last words of Milada Horakova on the day of her execution: "I love this country and people, I leave without hate". On the memorial plaque are 234 other names of people who were similarly persecuted by the communist regime. The authors of the work are academic sculptors Jan Bartoš, Ctibor Havelka, Milan Knobloch and architect Jiří Kantůrek. The memorial was made by company Kamenosochařství Hausdorf. Horáková participated in the anti-Nazi resistance during World War II. She also actively opposed the communist regime. She was the only female victim of monstrous communist political purges in the 1950s. Her life ended on June 27, 1950 in neighboring Pankrac Prison after a "monster" trial. Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, and Eleanor Roosevelt, for example, tried to gain grace for the convicted. However, President Gottwald signed the death sentences.
