Wonderful place full of peace

Unexpected and very nice place. Mr. Jan Zajíc from Ostrožská Nová Ves, the creator of this oasis of contemplation, has a deep emotional relationship with Místek. He himself, with his own hands, adapted this place to its present form. He started in 1997, where he discovered this place on a walk with his grandson Štěpán. At that time, they penetrated the nettles of the grove, in some places he had to carry his grandson in his arms. When they came to a place that Štěpán liked so much that he said, "Grandpa, this is a nice place." This was the impetus for Mr. Zajíc for the idea to modify this place, not only for his grandson, but also for other children and for all passers-by. He gradually cleared the creek bed of mud, cut out nettles, pruned dry branches, planted grass, made fences, bridges, steps, a small parking lot for bicycles and carriages. It cost him a lot of physical and financial effort. He went to the Buchlovské Mountains for stones, he got acacia wood for fencing and fences. What did he leave there with boxes of nails, wheels of concrete on a small weir on the stream? He often cleaned, repaired, improved and built there. The place soon became popular and awareness of it soon spread. Hundreds of people have visited this place in more than ten years. Mothers and teachers came here with children, old settlers, lovers, people from near and far. The children themselves carry various plush toys with which they play. Mr. Hare likes it. Over time, the place brought peace and quiet to many people from the area and abroad. You can find the poem listed in the header on one of the trees, it was written by Eva Svobodová, a SPedŠ student who travels with her grandfather to Ostrožská Nová Ves every year for the holidays. Last year, the forest was infested with chicken coop and so clean pruning of the infested trees was carried out in the vicinity. But it is a question of whether the rest of the forest, including Místek, can be saved. Mr. Hare is a happy man. He was able to build a beautiful corner of nature, which brings joy to many people. Many people go for a walk to "look at Místek" ....
