Most Dr. Edvarda Beneše ve Štěchovicích spojuje Brunšov a Štěchovice v místě, kde kdysi býval přívoz. Roku 2002 most bez poškození přestál stoletou vodu. Přesto nebyl několik dní přístupný, protože se přes něj valila voda. The Bridge of Dr. Edvard Beneš in Štěchovice connects Brunšov and Štěchovice in the place where the ferry once used to be. The bridge, built in 1937-1939 according to the Miloslav Klement project, was the first bridge building in the Czech Republic (or Czechoslovakia), which had two hollow concrete arches with a span of 114 meters on which the bridge is suspended. The building was also significant on a European scale at that era. For the transfer of traffic through the Vltava River between Štěchovice and Brunšov Ing. Miloslav Klement designed an elegant and technically extremely advanced reinforced concrete construction of the bridge. The construction was carried out in 1937-1939 (22 months) by a company led by J. Kindl. The ceremonial opening of the bridge took place on May 20, 1939. In 1946 it was solemnly named as "The Bridge of Dr. Edvard Beneš". It has been a national cultural monument since the end of 1965. The length of the bridge is 114 meters, the width is 9.2 meters, the curve of the arch is up to 12 meters high above the bridge deck. The arch has a cross-section of 1.75 x 1.60 m. The last major repair was made in 1995. In 2002 the bridge withstood 100-year-old water without damage. It was only not accessible for a few days as the water flowed over it.
