Wonderful porcelain museum. You can only get into it with a guided tour, and it is in Czech and a written description in German and English.

Nice exposition of Thun porcelain, from the first products from the 18th century to the present. A funny guide with great knowledge. After seeing the museum, I recommend a walk through the castle park. Everything is open all year round.

Muzeum porcelánu - Zámek Klášterec nad Ohří The local porcelain exhibition comes from the collections of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague. In two halls you will find examples of Japanese porcelain from the turn of the 17th to the second half of the 19th century. One hall is dedicated to the oldest products of European porcelain, from Meissen and Vienna, where the porcelain factories were founded between 1710 and 1718. The other two halls include a comprehensive collection of examples of old Chinese porcelain from the 16th to 19th centuries. A large part of the first floor in 21 halls is devoted to the development of Czech porcelain production from its beginnings to the present. Zdejší expozice porcelánu pochází ze sbírek Uměleckoprůmyslového muzea v Praze. Ve dvou sálech tu najdete ukázky japonského porcelánu z přelomu 17. až 2. poloviny 19. století. Jeden sál je věnován nejstarším výrobkům evropského porcelánu, a to z Míšně a Vídně, kde byly porcelánky založeny v letech 1710 a 1718.
