Brouzdali jsme sem a tam. Nektere domky jsou krasne. Jine na spadnuti. Jinde je neskutecny neporadek. Ale kocici hlavy jsou super.
We were browsing here and there. Some houses are beautiful. Another to fall. Elsewhere there is an awkward mess. But the hats of the head are great.

Krasny pohled do minulosti Prahy. Bez turistů a nutnosti platit vstupne. I tu lze gratis parkovat v okoli.
A beautiful view of the past of Prague. Without tourists and the necessity to pay entrance fees. You can also gratis parking in the surroundings.

Tehdy oblast patřila českým knížatům, později jej dostal do vlastnictví Strahovský klášter. One of the best-preserved village collections in Prague, which may remotely resemble the Golden Lane, was built directly on sandstone rocks. The picturesque street Na Kocourkách and was established in the 19th century as a workers' colony. According to the oldest surviving information, Střešovičky was built in the 10th and 11th centuries. At that time, the area belonged to Czech princes, later it became the property of the Strahov Monastery. During the Hussite wars, it changed owners, but then returned to the ownership of the monastery. Originally, the employees of the Strahov Monastery lived here. The village consisted of vineyards and simple houses. Many streets in Střešovičky have a military name associated with the word Battery, which refers to the events of the Seven Years' War in 1757, when the Prussian army shelled Hradčany and Strahov from these places. If you look at the map on the part called "On Batteries" (east of the Military Hospital), you will see the arrangement of individual artillery batteries, after which the names of the streets remain. Despite all the war conflicts that took place in Prague, the local village complex has survived to this day.

Původní dlažba, repliky plynových lamp plůtky, komíny, cihlové střechy a stříšky to vše vás jakoby přenese třeba do francouzské Provance.
Na Kocourkách Street and several others are part of the former village of Střešovičky. The set of buildings forms the most complete original rural part of Prague. In a small space there is a very picturesque corner, which, as if it were not the present big city. The original tiles, replicas of gas lamps, chimneys, brick roofs and canopies will all take you to the French Provance.
