Pastries from Pecky and sausages from Řevnice from local delicacies Marek is the king of the season for me for this year. I will shop, go to the ridge and have a snack with the most beautiful view. Nothing for the lazy, but it's worth it.

Rozbitý asfalt kolem kašny, žádné záhony s květinami, špatná vizitka města
Broken asphalt around the fountain, no flower beds, bad city business card

Kr.). Trojúhelníkové náměstí krále Jiřího z Poděbrad tvoří přirozené centrum obce. Uprostřed stojí vysoký kamenný pilon jako pomník padlým v 1. a 2. světové válce a rekonstruovaná kašna. Od roku 1822 stávala uprostřed náměstí nejstarší řevnická škola. Byla zbořena v polovině 19. století. Obecná škola z roku 1883 sloužila svému účelu do roku 1995. The town of Řevnice is situated along the Berounka River, at the slopes of the Brdy ridges, 9 km southwest of the Prague border. We do not know when and by who it was founded, but it is a very old village. The oldest archaeological documents date back to the ancient Stone Age about 10,000 years ago, as well as the remnants of the settlement of the people of Volut culture from the Early Stone Age 4,000 years ago, and still a small burial site of the Únětická culture from the Bronze Age (about 1500 BC). Triangular square of the King Jiří of Poděbrady forms the natural center of the village. A tall stone pillar as a monument to fallen during the 1st and 2nd World War and a refurbished fountain stand in the middle of the square. Since 1822, the oldest school had been standing in the middle of the square. It was demolished in the middle of the 19th century. The 1883 General School served it´s purpose until 1995. Impressive two-storey neo-baroque building of the parsonage opposite the church is documented in the middle of the 14th century and disappeared in the second half of the 17th century. Today's building dates back to 1904-5 and was built according to the design of the architect Eduard Sochor.
