★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love OBI since I was a child. I am a fan of OBI shops all over the world. Even in Kazakhstan there is one that I liked visiting in Almaty ☺.
But in Ostrava in Czechia, I was victim of an employer named "Lucie Pani" who refused to rent me equipment because she said "you are not Czech, you are French. No rent to foreigners!". She was so depressing and aggressive.
...But I kept smiling and saying to myself, where is European Union in Czechia, only in paper ?? Too early for customer rights ?? ???. Apparently yes, in some aspects.
I admit I often see expression of Eastern heritage of the 70's. Even if I am Czech resident, there are people who block you all the time, using old days attitude.
Anyway, 2 of the staff saved me. Pavel the heroe of the day. He was very sorry for us and he came from another planet ☺.
And then Veronika the manager of the shop. She was gorgeous, wonderful, smiley...She reconciled me with OBI....?
I will go back to OBI Ostrava one day. But I hope Lucie Pani will be on vacation that day ??
