Victory Square is the center of Dejvice. In the end, the square was not built entirely according to the intended project of Antonín Engel, but it still looks monumental. Part of the buildings belongs to the military staff of the Czech Army, where we will also find a memorial to Czechoslovak soldiers of World War II. The statue was cast in the artistic foundry Tomáš Waller Veverské Knínice. The ground floor is built according to the design of Tomáš Novotný and Jiří Opočenský. Granite slabs with inscriptions (dates, states and battlefields), under which are stored boxes with fingers from the sites, were made by the company Kamenopryslul Komárek Letovice. Concrete slabs were made by Prefa Holešovice. Preparation for the realization of the memorial in cooperation with Prague 6 and Czechoslovakia. The legionary village has been running since 2001, when the foundation stone of the memorial was laid at the expense of the city district. Project documentation based on the winning design of the architectural competition was prepared a year later. "Vítězné náměstí" Square is the center of Dejvice. Beautiful monument. There are tiles on the ground with different dates. There are also benches at the monument itself, so you can relax here. There is also an interactive table. Right at the entrance to the subway. You can get here perfectly by tram, subway or bus.
