Great place for a walk :)

In the very center of Tabor, along the Jordan Reservoir, there is a place where you can retire from the bustle of the city and plunge into the bosom of nature. A cozy, well-groomed park, which stretches along the southern shore of this artificial lake, is a place for walks and tranquility. In the park, paths, many benches for seating, and playgrounds stretch in parallel rows in several tiers. Here, within the park, there are several berths, boat rental, soft drinks and a children's pool, and on the opposite bank, not far from the city stadium, there is a public pool "Sokol" with a sandy beach. Sitting by the coast, you can enjoy the outlines of the old city with its medieval towers from the fortress walls, tiled roofs and gabled cupolas of churches. Small flocks of ducks and graceful swans cut across the water surface, and the trills of songbirds can be heard from the thicket of branches. The reservoir itself was built during the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus in 1492. It got its name from the Jordan River in the Holy Land and originally supplied the city with drinking water. Later it was used for fish farming, and now it serves as a reservoir for recreation and for sport fishing. Throughout its history, the reservoir was drained only once - in 1830. In 2011–2014, the drain holes were replaced here, they were cleaned and dirt was removed. During the work, weapons and ammunition were found at the bottom of the reservoir, as well as the walls of a brick factory dating back to the late Middle Ages.
