The bronze statue of kneeling Moses in the middle of a small park was built in 1905 and it´s author is the renowned sculptor František Bílek. The kneeling Old Testament figure is captured at the time of putting Adam's name on the scroll, symbolizing the beginning of human pilgrimage on this world, it´s fall and its ascension. Bronze sculpture without signatures is mounted on a low prismatic plinth made of polished stone. Pařížská Street passes through the Jewish Town of Prague and connects between Old Town Square and Bohemian Bridge. On both sides of the street there are luxurious apartment buildings combining architectural styles with decorative elements of Art Nouveau. Nice little park in the most exposed place during the sightseeing of Jewish monuments in Prague. Refreshing greens for tired eyes. There is a significant sculpture Moses by Fr. Bílka (own museum at Chotek Park). The Old Testament must be known to understand the statue.
