Amazing place from the architect point of view - you MUST see. The weak point is that everything is led by clean architecture what is limiting the original purpose of the building. Many artefacts taken from Věstonice are therefore hidden in storages with no access for public.

I never knew that Palava had such archeological importance. The museum is hidden into the hill, so the modern style mixes well with the traditional buildings. A very interesting exhibit with lots of good information.

The one of the most beautiful museums in Czech, small but very well done and highly recommended to visit!

Fantastic museum, great example of modern architecture stuffed with pieces of artefacts, not very big, However very educational, all starting with a great video. Just an idea to change the chairs in the video room and some lighting so people don’t bump into the chair just next to entrance!!! Health and safety should come first!

The building itself is an excellent piece of architecture perfectly fitting into the theme of the museum. Apart from the inside expositions, we spent quite a lot of time outside on the archeological park roof. A must-see, both inside as well as outside.

Great newly-built museum to commemorate the mammoth-hunter settlements that once was on the slopes of the nearby Pálava hills. Splendid piece of architecture, great presentation (although approximate age estimation would be helpful next to the exhibits), movie screening right at the entrance is half the experience and is very well done. Ticket price is okay, however having to purchase special separate ticket just to take pictures is something I find quite pathetic and unfortunately means a star down. Well worth visiting the place of our long gone ancestors.

Amazing museum to visit, even for non-czech speakers as every text is also available in English and even a very professionally crafted introductory movie is subtitled. The museum itself is not that large, around 45 minutes should be enough to see it all and thus even kids can keep their attention. It is also worth mentioning the unique architecture of the museum which was carefully built over the original excavation site. There is also a food truck by the entrance for a coffee, some wine or a quick bite (weekends only).

Interesting building, but don't go out of your way to visit. Almost every exhibit is a replica (except some small stones and scraps of flint). You can view the main excavation through a window, you can also go inside the dig site but the entrance is hidden in the corner with no signage. It seemed like most visitors missed it. Thirty minutes is all you need here, and ten of those will be spent watching a film.
