★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Narazil jsem na tuhle bránu náhodou,kdyz sem bloudil po hruboskalsku...vseobecně silnice hrozné ?.... Ještě se vrátím za světla a podívám se nahoru po schodech.
I stumbled upon this gate by accident when I wandered here in the rough ... a terrible road in general ? .... I'll come back behind the lights and look up the stairs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Úžasná zajímavost v krásné přírodě. ???Po schodech se lze dostat na vrch brány, odkud je krásný výhled do okolí. U schodiště se nachází posezení pro odpočinek a tabule s popisem jak a proč byla tento tunel vybudován. Místo má svou turistickou známku dostupnou na obecním úřadě.
Amazing attraction in beautiful nature. ???On the stairs you can get to the top of the gate, from where there is a beautiful view of the surroundings. At the staircase there is a seating area for rest and a board describing how and why this tunnel was built. The place has its tourist stamp available at the municipal office.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pekařova brána je krátký silniční tunel, resp. skalní brána. Tunel má délku 4 m a světlou výšku 4,9 m. Zprovozněn byl v roce 1914. Brána byla vytvořena uměle. Do skály byl vytesán gotický oblouk a zároveň její vrch zpřístupnili po schodech. Název Pekařova brána pochází z doby, kdy tudy vedla původní turistická stezka z hradu Kost na hrad Valdštejn, pojmenovaná po českém historikovi Josefu Pekařovi. Jedná se o často fotografované místo (mezi řidiči), nicméně se špatným prostorem pro parkování osobních vozidel.
Pekař Gate is a short road tunnel, resp. rock gate. The tunnel has a length of 4 m and a clear height of 4.9 m. It was put into operation in 1914. The gate was created artificially. A Gothic arch was carved into the rock and at the same time its top was made accessible by stairs. The name Pekařova brána comes from the time when the original tourist trail led from Kost Castle to Valdštejn Castle, named after the Czech historian Josef Pekař. This is a frequently photographed place (among drivers), but with poor parking space for cars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Krásné místo, vlastně spíš taková krátká zastávka při cestě po krásách Českého ráje. Pokud se zde zastavíte, rozhodně si vystoupejte těch pár schodů nahoru, kde je opravdu fajn výhled.
A beautiful place, actually more of a short stop on the way to the beauties of the Bohemian Paradise. If you stop here, definitely climb those few steps up where there is a really nice view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unique experience - gate through sandstone rock, you can even use stairs to get on top. Low traffic, so it is possible to take photo from the middle of the road. Be careful though!
