Penzion Pohoda Kvilda

Pension and restaurant Pohoda can be found in the center of Kvilda next to the "central parking lot". We were not accommodated here, so I will only rate the restaurant. We visited her both last year and this year and our experience has always been very good. Service pleasant and very fast, they have a draft of flavored Birell, which is a big plus from us. Otherwise, the range of drinks is standard - draft Kozel beer, draft lemonade and other drinks can be ordered as bottled variants. The choice of dishes was sufficient, about 8-10 menus. We ate venison goulash with potato pancakes, which was flawless. The meat was very tender, perfectly flavored sauce, cranberries, potato pancakes were really made of potatoes. So the food is completely above average after our bad Šumava experience. In terms of price, the restaurant is on the same level as the others in Kvilda. Don't expect food here under CZK 170, the normal level is rather around CZK 200 / meal. Although catering in Šumava is generally unnecessarily overpriced, we got excellent food in this restaurant for this money. The toilet is also without problems and another big plus of this restaurant is that they take meal vouchers, which is an unprecedented thing in Šumava. So no mistake for us and we will definitely return here again.

During the first "search" of the room, I was worried about how we would line up there (2 + dogs), but after a quick stay, everyone and everything found its place. Hot shower at any time, as soon as the weather worsened, the pan operating, the superintendent and the administrator in one person operatively turned on the heating. The breakfast buffet was perfectly satisfactory. In addition, fresh delicious homemade spread and fruitcake every day. The owner had a lucky hand in choosing the staff, because to handle the whole house in 5 people ... ?. Willingness, helpfulness, in short Pohoda ?

We visited this restaurant with a bunch of friends. Mr. waiter willing and thus everything is positively exhausted. I ordered blueberry dumplings, and when everyone else was at the table after eating, I got a badly thawed - completely iced - semi-finished product. After a complaint and another 25 minutes of waiting, the waiter with an apology brought me the same semi-finished product, only a little warmer. In Šumava and for the money, I imagine something quite different under the term blueberry dumplings. And to illustrate the whole situation, I must add that at the next table, the lady had the same problem.

Excellent kitchen accommodation just happy to be back again.
