R	Radovan Holub on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Velmi hezké místo v bývalé obci Bučina, nejvýš položené, v padesátých letech zničené osadě v Česku. Místo leží na státní hranici za bývalou železnou oponou v 1.zóně NP Šumava. Dřív sem nikdo nesměl, byla tu jen pohraniční rota a důstojnická ubytovna - malá kasárna. Také tu fungoval občasný hraniční přechod pro vývoz dřeva do Spolkové republiky. Po roce 1989 vybojoval Ing Talián obnovení roty, na místě vznikl stylový hotel s venkovní i vnitřní restaurací. U hotelu je maketa železné opony se strážní věží. Během stavby si kladla správa parku podmínku, že sem nebudou smět jezdit auta. To naštěstí padlo a ubytovaní sem na povolení mohou autem. Z Kvildy sem jezdí do konce září autobus, trasa Kvilda-Bučina je velmi hezká i pro pěší, cyklisty, běžkaře. A very nice place in the former village of Bučina, the highest situated settlement in the Czech Republic in the 1950s. The place lies on the state border behind the former Iron Curtain in the 1st zone of the Šumava National Park. Nobody was allowed here before, there was only a border company and an officer's hostel - a small barracks. There was also an occasional border crossing for timber exports to the Federal Republic. After 1989, Ing Talián won the restoration of the company, a stylish hotel with an outdoor and indoor restaurant was built on the site. The hotel has a model of the Iron Curtain with a watchtower. During the construction, the park administration made it a condition that cars were not allowed to drive here. Fortunately, it fell through and those staying here on a permit can drive. A bus runs here from Kvilda until the end of September, the Kvilda-Bučina route is also very nice for pedestrians, cyclists and cross-country skiers.
J	Jan Podubský on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Příjemná restaurace s velice pestrým vybavením a zajímavým interiérem. Krkovice na grilu skvělá i s perfektní oblohou .-) Pleasant restaurant with very varied equipment and interesting interior. The neck on the grill is great even with a perfect garnish .-)

f	frank klatil on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was one of a very few restaurants in Kvilda where they still served meals to people who were not staying in their hotel ( Aug 2018). Outside of the restaurant there are several signs which may discourage some potential guests. There is a large sign saying that the guests should "be nice" to staff since it's difficult to find people who would be willing to work there. The second sign states that they welcome motorcycle bike rides, which could be a noisy and rough crowd. Another "friendly"" sign informed guests that the Wi-Fi was available only to registered hotel guests. The signs seemed to have their intended effect-the place was quite empty. We have ordered trout fillets and huckleberry dumplings. The fish was ok, but rather dry. The dumplings were also ok, but not outstanding. The prices were on the high end.

The restaurant is split into two, one area for the hotel residents and another for walk-in. We went there to try the blueberries dumpling. I must say, one plate is good for two people as a plate has two big dumplings. We ordered two plates, my girlfriend couldn't finish one and I was suffering to finish the second. Good dumplings and good price.
