Nice weather promise: bbq!
Well, today superb weather but no bbq.
Payment by cash only. No cards accepted. Disappointing since it is not well promoted. Please check your ordering before paying, our was totally wrong and we had to summarise our ordering.
Food was really ok, good taste, well cooked. But it was not special. Hotel Modrava restaurant cooks with more taste but has the traditional menu only.
Think there were 7 people serving, only 1 was reliant. Service can really improve from reactive to pro active. Average Dutch place on the beach has a better and prompt service and one has not to waive for the waiter 3 times during a normal (short) visit.
Menu suggestion to add: kids menu.
That's missing at all.
Overall you pay for the location and not for the food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I agree with others saying that the prices are very high, comparable to Prague. But the terrace and view are the best in Modrava. Their beer and food is great, so you can't go wrong coming here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Top of the class restaurant in Czech Republic. The interior looks Swiss cottage style and the river view at the terrace is amazeballs! Lunch menu is not bad but the overall experience is 10 stars. Service is epic good and pleasant. The staffs are friendly, polite and cheerful. One of the staffs even knows German language. The toilet is very clean and even has hand lotion for the ladies to moisturise their hands. Very attentive and a wonderful restaurant! Will definitely eat in this restaurant, and I recommend it to everyone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited on April of 2022. Great place with magnificent beer and food that really delights after a long trek (grilled hermelin, beef goulash and 12 Pilsner). Waiters were super kind.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spent this weekend at the Lyer Brewery in Modrava. It is a hotel type accommodation in a new building. The rooms are very nice, I especially like the admitted wooden beams in the interior. We appreciated the good breakfast. The food in the restaurant is generally excellent; the prices are not low, but the portions are really big. The staff is friendly and do their best to help. It's a family friendly place, you can rent sleds or cross-country skis and they have most kids’ sizes. There is also an enclosure with three kangaroos across the stream. My kids were thrilled. The brewery is directly adjacent to the Šumava National Park, where you can go on many beautiful trails - on foot, cross-country skiing or on a bike in summer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Czech restaurant with local food. We have ordered grilled cheese and pork chop. I have asked to have more green beans instead of potatoes however there was more beacon and onion then green beans. Otherwise, it was nice. Our waiter was really nice and efficient. The place was really busy. I was confused that they accepted just cash. Otherwise, it’s good place to eat in Modrava.
