M	Michal Čáp on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a local and I visited the place today with some foreigners. I will strictly avoid this place in future. To czech standards, the place is quite overpriced. One wouldn't mind if this would be for a good quality food and service. This is exactly what you should not expect at this place. The portion of the food 'Svickova' was about 30% smaller than a typical portion in any other restaurant. Fruit dumpling were a golf ball size, with jam/mash inside (not actual fruit). The most disappointing was however the service, acting unfriendly since we came. When I asked if I can pay with my card, I got the "ok, but you really bother me" look. Instead of passing the terminal to me (normal procedure) and let me do it, the waiter kept it and asked me how much I am going to tip. I took the terminal anyway, put 10 Kc tip in there and paid. The waiter returned with a receipt and pushed 10 Kc coin back to my hand saying "Here is your ten crowns back". There are many nice places near this restaurant, so you better avoid this one.

Beer selection was excellent. Food was incredible. I recommend the pork knuckle (that's a giant ham hock for us Americans). Prices are very reasonable.

Did not experience anything of the negative things that other ppl said. We got full before we could eat all the food. The meat was a bit rare, we told them we would like to have it fried a bit more, no problem. They fixed it really quick. Almost feel we were to cheap on the tip.

Very disrespectful staff, huge waiting time, we asked sparkling water we got water from the sink and served with angriness from the waiter. When good finally came the chicken was not cooked and also cold, even of long waiting time. Disgusting, we couldn’t eat, then the gulas was also a failure. I couldn’t eat it. In the end, the rude waiter didn’t even apologize and said ok, you pay only water and gulas. Disgusting, again. If you want to have a nice time and food, please don’t go there…. :(
