Prohlídka pivovaru i s ochutnávkou, výborné pivo a velmi přátelský majitel. Držím palce a přeji úspěch s vařením i s novou hospodou.
A tour of the brewery with tasting, excellent beer and a very friendly owner. I keep my fingers crossed and wish success with the cooking and the new pub.

Sladovnu v roce 1994 zakoupila soukromá společnost a majitel by chtěl budovu někdejší sladovny využít v oblasti cestovního ruchu a navázat na dlouhou tradici českobrodského pivovarnictví. V době mé návštěvy bylo místo bohužel uzavřeno. The original town brewery of Český Brod is originated in 1664 on the site of a medieval Homolka´s house with a malting place and burnt Pickovský house in the north-western part of the town by today's fire artillery (No. 71). It was rebuilt after a fire in 1739, and the brewery was rebuilt again by the Bohemian-Builder Vojtěch Balšánek in 1866-67. Here, among others, 10° beer light beer, 12° light lager and 14° dark special Garnet. In 1994, a private company purchased a malting plant and the owner would like to use the former malt house in support of the tourism industry and build on the long tradition of Czech brewery. At the time of my visit, the place was unfortunately closed.
