★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dneska jsem navštívil Žižkovo náměstí v Táboře a pohled na sochu je stále krásný i když za těch 13 let od poslední rekonstrukce sochy je vidět že zima sníh déšť kroupy se podepsali na stavu sochy Jana Žižky v Táboře. Socha Jana Žižky se začala opravovat 22.4.2021 a skončila 14.6.2021. a 19.6.2021. už byla socha Jana Žižky na Žižkově náměstí v Táboře úplně opravená a dokončená.
Today I visited Žižka Square in Tábor and the view of the statue is still beautiful, although in the 13 years since the last reconstruction of the statue it can be seen that the winter snow and hail have signed on the condition of the statue of Jan Žižka in Tábor. The statue of Jan Žižka began to be repaired on April 22, 2021 and ended on June 14, 2021. and 19.6.2021. the statue of Jan Žižka on Žižkov Square in Tábor was already completely repaired and completed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Postavení pomníku iniciovali členové výboru Občanské besedy v r.1870 a o rok později byla povolena sbírka na jeho postavení. Pomník byl odhalen 26. 8. 1877. Již v červenci r.1878 se projevila špatná práce slévače, socha se naklonila a musela být sňata. Obecní zastupitelstvo objednalo proto sochu novou, dle návrhu akademického sochaře Josefa Strachovského, kterou z pískovcového monolitu vytesal Jaroslav Ducháček. Socha váží 2,3 tuny a byla odhalena 26. 10. 1884.
The status of the monument was initiated by members of the Civic Committee in 1870 and a year later the collection was authorized for it´s building. The monument was unveiled on August 26, 1877. Already in July 1878 the statue leaned (due to founder´s bad work) and had to be removed. The municipal council ordered a new sculpture according to the design of the academic sculptor Josef Strachovský, which was carved out of the sandstone monolith by Jaroslav Ducháček. The statue weighs 2.3 tonnes and was unveiled on October 26, 1884.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jan Žižka z Trocnova je rozporuplnou, ale významnou osobností České historie. Geniální stratég, vojevůdce. Nepochybně měl charisma, respekt, byl následován davy. Evropa ho znala, církev se ho bála. Pomník je moc hezký, tak si Jana Žižku představuji.
Jan Žižka from Trocnov is a contradictory but important figure in Czech history. A brilliant strategist, a military leader. Undoubtedly he had charisma, respect, was followed by crowds. Europe knew him, the church feared him. The monument is very nice, so I imagine Jan Žižka.

История его создания восходит к концу 19 столетия, когда на территории Чехии наблюдался процесс подъёма национального самосознания. Именно тогда городской совет постановил поставить памятник Яну Жижке в Таборе.
Интересен и тот факт, что первоначальный вариант статуи Яны Жижки была создана начинающим, а позже известным скульптором Йозефом Вацлавом Мыслбеком. После целого ряда проблем, связанных с созданием самой скульпторы, цинковая статуя Жижки была открыта в 1877 году. Однако вскоре ее пришлось снять из-за плохого качества материала. Сегодня эта статуя хранится в музее в старой ратуше.
Современный памятник Яну Жижки на Жижковской площади в Таборе был создан по проекту скульптора Йозефа Страховского и установлен в 1884 года. На постаменте высечены названия мест победоносных сражений Жижки. Вокруг постамента девять многоугольных невысоких каменных колонн с пирамидальным концом в мощении , соединенных массивными цепями из декоративно кованных звеньев с шипами.
Памятник Яну Жижке в Таборе внесен в реестр культурного наследия Чешской Республики.
The monument to the national hero of the Czech Republic Jan Zizka is located on the central square of the same name in Tabor. The history of its creation dates back to the end of the 19th century, when the process of the rise of national consciousness was observed on the territory of the Czech Republic. It was then that the city council decided to erect a monument to Jan ižka in Tabor.
It is also interesting that the original version of the statue of Jana ižka was created by a beginner and later by the famous sculptor Josef Vaclav Myslbek. After a number of problems associated with the creation of the sculptor herself, the zinc statue of ižka was unveiled in 1877. However, it soon had to be removed due to the poor quality of the material. Today this statue is kept in a museum in the old town hall.
The modern monument to Jan Zizka on Zizkovskaya Square in Tabor was designed by the sculptor Josef Strakhovsky and installed in 1884. The names of the places of victorious battles of ižka are carved on the pedestal. Around the pedestal there are nine polygonal low stone columns with a pyramidal end in paving, connected by massive chains of decorative forged links with spikes.
The Jan Zizka monument in Tabor is included in the register of cultural heritage of the Czech Republic.
