I loved walking through this square and enjoying the garden or the windows of the shops around it, either during the day or at night. When there is a fair it is also very entertaining.

A 600 méter hosszú teret a Nemzeti Múzeum koronázza meg, előtte Szent Vencel szobra, Prága híres szentjeivel, Szent Ludmillával, Szent Ágnessel, Sázavai Szent Prokoppal és Adalberttel Prága második püspökével. Picivel lejjebb egy kis sziget alatt az 1968-as Prágai Tavasz két önkéntes áldozata, Jan Palach, és Jan Zaic emlékműve, a két egyetemista diák tiltakozásul gyújtotta fel magát a téren, majd egy évet szenvedtek a kórházban mire elhunytak. Jobbra tovább a híres Jalta szálló, amely alatt ma már látogatható atombunker található. A gyönyörű Európa hotellel átelenben a Lucerna palota bent David Cerni lehetetlen alkotásával Szt Vencel a döglött lovon. Lucerna annyit jelent Lámpás a benne működő moziról kapta a nevét.
They usually say that Rome is Via Vento to Prague, Wenceslas Square. It was once the name of the Horse Fair, and the gate named after it was in the place of today's museum. The 600-meter-long square is crowned by the National Museum, in front of the statue of St. Wenceslas, the famous saints of Prague, Saint Ludmila, St. Agnes, St. Prokop of Sava and Adalbert with the second bishop of Prague. Slightly below a small island, two volunteer victims of the Prague Spring of 1968, Jan Palach, and Jan Zaic, the two student students lit up in protest, then suffered a year in the hospital when they died. To the right is the famous Yalta hostel, which now houses a nuclear bomb. With the beautiful hotel in Europe, the Lucerna palace inside David Cerni's impossible creation of St. Wenceslas on the dead horse. Lucerne means Lamp got its name from the cinema in it.
