It was really a pleasant experience to spend a quiet Sunday afternoon walking through this part of Prague. I think Slivenec could be a paradigm for other parts of Prague. Not only the village square, which underwent total reconstruction in 2015, but also the peripheral parts are clean and modernized. The real gem is the Early Gothic Church of All Saints from the end of the 13th century. Slivenec was connected to Prague in 1974 and currently around three thousand inhabitants live on its territory. Interesting facts: King Wenceslas I donated the village of Slivenec by a decree from April 6, 1253 to the Red Cross Order, with which the obligation to take care about repairs of Judith's Bridge was linked (that´s the oldest Prague´s stone bridge built before the Charles Bridge at almost the same location). This act is preserved in the form of a document, which forms the oldest certified monument about the village.
