The construction of the railway through Zbraslav took place in 1895, when the construction of the Modřany - Skochovice - Dobříš railway line with a branch to Čerčany was started. The railway station was put into operation on September 22, 1897. From 1926, bus transport from Prague was introduced to Zbraslav. The town itself stands on the opposite bank of the Vltava River from the station. At first, the old ferry served to overcome the flow. The first steel bridge with three bays was built in 1896. Tolls were collected on the bridge until 1934, while the collector's booth stood on the Zbraslav side. In 1964, the old steel bridge was replaced by a new reinforced concrete bridge. Its construction is unique, as it is the first bridge in the world to be built using the method of self-supporting welded reinforcement. The total length of the bridge is 210 meters. Railway station from RAZ-DVA. However, tidy, clean and quite cool. You can no longer buy a ticket here or have no food. But you can park in front of the station, it can fit about 20 cars. Otherwise, the staff at the station is and is not even needed. Everything is clearly visible on the illuminated information board.
