★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hrázděné věžičky městského opevnění v Kadani, kterým se pro jejich malebnost přezdívá Ptačí domky, sloužily v průběhu 18. a 19. století i se sousední gotickou obrannou baštou jako zázemí a skladiště střelného prachu a kulí pro kadaňské ostrostřelce. Ti si zde již v roce 1788 zřídili vlastní výčep a roku 1844 byl pak položen základní kámen restaurantu s názvem Střelnice. Dnes na tomto místě stojí stejnojmenný kulturní dům.
The half-timbered towers of the town fortifications in Kadaň, known as the Bird Houses for their picturesqueness, were used during the 18th and 19th centuries as well as the neighboring Gothic defensive bastion as a hinterland and storehouse for gunpowder and bullets for Kadaň sharpshooters. They even established their own pub here in 1788 and in 1844 the foundation stone of the restaurant called Střelnice was laid. Today there is a house of the same name.
