Due to a long term closure, a bus from Lovosice spat us out at the station, and right after I got off, I smiled contentedly. I really like such small stations in the middle of nowhere. The Radejčín railway station is located on the single-track regional line 097 Lovosice - Teplice, which was built by the Ústecko-teplická Railway Company as the first section of its North Bohemian Transversal line. The operation started here on 16 December 1897. And now something about the long-term interruption of transport: in June 2013, a large landslide hit the line in the section between Chotiměř and Radejčín. An alternative bus service was introduced from Lovosice and passenger trains from the direction of Teplice end their journey in Radejcin. Except for one gentleman with two small boys, I was the only one who did not change trains in Radejcin to Teplice. Between 2013 and 2020 there were no trains on the Lovosice-Radejcin section. From 6 June 2020, a seasonal weekend train service between Lovosice and Chotiměř was launched. However, the restoration of the damaged section has reportedly not even started yet and is planned for 2023 and 2024.
