Great food. We have ordered a carp and a wild boar, both were delicious.

I was refused being served at a garden table a few minutes after I had asked if I can sit there and I had been told yes. They reffered to some 'resevation" but there was no sign of reserved table.

Do not recommend to visit this restaurant. Staff is cheating with invoice: applies tax (21%) on prices which are already tax included. Usually all prices in Czech restaurants are tax included, if not clearly visible second prices with tax (DPH) must be mentioned next to price without tax. In Hubert only one price was shown, so it clearly was tax-included price. For us (me and wife) who are living in Czech Republic for almost 10 years it was the first such experience for all this time. We didn’t like to argue with waiter, for the sake of our nerves. We stayed in Stekl (four stars) hotel and were quite satisfied with food and service in the hotel’s restaurant, but just decided to visit some other place for change and were quite frustrated with Hubert. Very small piece of fish there and salads cost much more than in hotel’s restaurant, and actually equal to some expensive restaurants in Prague, but quality of food is rather moderate (nothing special) and restaurant itself does not pretend on any kind fashionableness. Hubert is a kind of “tourists” oriented restaurants, oriented on serving/cheating tourists who usually do not know local rules and prices. Не советую посещать - ресторан - обманывают на ценах (добавляют 21% налогов к ценам в которые этот налог уже включен). К тому же цены соответствуют дорогим ресторанам в Праге, но кухня в Хуберте далека от всякой фешенебельности. За маленького окунька выложили 200 крон.... Кто хочет просто выпить пива и поглазеть на сотни оленьих рогов тому может там и понравиться. Но тому кто хочет вкусно покушать не советую. Зайдите лучше в Штекл - это ресторан при отеле в 50 метрах от замка. Несмотря на фешенебельный вид кухня там доступная (не дешевая) и вкусная. Не говоря уже об обслуживании.

Excellent food and great service. I was with three friends and they took care of us very well. A restaurant with great setting and lots of stuffed animals decorations, so not for vegetarians! I gave 3 stars as my glass was empty and nobody asked if I want something else, also because there was no soap in the lady's bathroom. For the food, still fully recommend it!

We were attracted by game meat dishes on the menu and terrace in shade. Turned out as quite disappointment. Inattentive staff, serving practice bad, forgetting orders, adding extra side dishes on our bill, messy toilet at noon and out of soap and towels. And food is average but expensive

The day I started road bike trip from Tabor was ended to České Budějovice, and hopped one by one small villages, where don’t have any cafe for short break. Then all of sudden, I found this great restaurant about noon. I was so exhausted after 5 hours bike, and fresh beer was a good refreshment. Basically I seldom drink any alcohol nor beer during roadbike trip, but I believe that I was deserved to drink up a couple of beer. And I wasn’t drunken thanks to the tasty lunch. I explained that I was hungry so that I might need one more dish, and owner rejected with laugh, since potato is heavy amount, which was true. I refilled my energy and made the last run after the lunch. So road bikers should remember this restaurant was the good stop over place.

Good location, easy parking. Clean and comfortable interior. Soup of the day 2/5. Vegetable curry soup, really nothing special. We were 3 people trying the soup and no one liked it. Horseradish sauce with dumplings and beef 2/5. Poor dish and bad value for money. Later we have found different dishes on our bill than we had ordered - strange. To be honest, I can’t recommend this restaurant.
