★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I step in this restaurant with polite smile on face, asking to have a seat. but the waiter/waitress just ignore and pass me. For a second, I thought I am invisible. After keep yelling "hello" & "Hi" embarrassingly in 5 min, a guy finally approached me. Bad service. Noisy. Okay food. that's my conclusion for this restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place is pretty busy, especially on a Friday night, so reservation is needed. Had Gulas and Svickova, both were tasty, although I preferred Karlovarsky knedlik which was much testier than the regular one. Also missed chilli in gulas, but overall, we were satisfied. Portions were huge, staff was kind.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went there to grab a few beer but stayed there for some more and eating very delicious food. Very large room inside and you can stay there and just have a nice time. I can totally recommend going there if you stay in budweis. The price is fair, beer is cold and the food delicious... What more can you possibly ask for? That's right... Nothing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place with a long history. Atmosphere was good. Service was below average (nobody came by to ask us how our meal was going, do we need more drinks, or do we want to order anything else). The food was—ummm—not good at all. I had the breaded chicken and it was beyond salty. My wife had the fish and spent her entire meal picking bones out of the fish. It was also really soggy. Net, Net: big zero for me. I gave two stars for the history.
