If you want to try real Czech food, this is a great place to go. We had the pork knee, the traditionally roasted pork and the duck, and we loved every bit of it! Furthermore, the beers and food were very cheap, and as a sort of "bonus" there were no other tourist. If you want a truly authentic Czech experience this is the place to go!

Great little place, most of the customers are locals who go there to grab a bite and some beer. Prices are rather cheap and the food is good — I had a very satisfying goulash and a dark Kozel. They take cards (including Amex) and speak great English. Contrary to what older reviews say, it is NOT a smoking place; smoking is forbidden.

Me and my wife found the Havrana restaurant because we were looking for the nearby PUB :-) So, I confirm that being a bit outside the tourist area, it is mainly frequented by locals. However, they also have a menu in English and they speak English perfectly! Then, we visit the Havrana for the first time 2 days ago (30.12); we weren't very hungry and so we drank only 2 blonde beers with a portion of "Havranovy tyčinky" (a sort of simple "mini bruschette" with hot breadsticks rubbed with garlic and a sauce). We liked the place and so we wanted to visit it again last night (31.12) hoping to find a place for the "mini dinner" on the last day of the year. We had seen that many tables were free but they had a sheet with the word "Reserved" but we asked the guy who runs the restaurant that very kindly made us accommodate. We took a burger (good) and a chicken wrap (very good) as well as 2 dark Kozel beers followed by a blonde beer (also Kozel). Especially the dark beer was amazing...with low gradation (I think perhaps under 4°) but absolutely smooth (not carbonated) and with an excellent taste! The courtesy of the manager and of the man who served us, in addition to the very honest prices (please have a look at the attached receipt), convinced me to leave here a good review... I would also to add that the restaurant is usually open until 3.00 AM (and Friday/Saturday until 5:00 AM). P. S.: after reading some of the existing reviews, it seems appropriate to me to specify 2 points: - Smoking is absolutely forbidden in the restaurant, there is also a notice on the entrance door. - There is no smell of fried food! Certainly, if we return to Prague, we will be happy to visit you again! Keep up the good work Guys ;-)

We had the Prague Ham, Roast Duck, Pork Schnitzel, with a large draft of Uriquel and a glass of house red wine. All was perfect. Local place, mixed crowd, no smoking while we were there and our server was Thomas. Thomas was very pleasant, spoke perfect English and we felt very welcomed. Great place to have a drink or eat a nice meal! Thanks for the hospitality!

Czech pub serving great largers and food. Burgers are lovely. Had the camembert starter which was lovely. The beef in cream sauce was actually cream on top of the cranberries a little odd but tasted lovely

Amazing! If you are delighted by great plain cooking and cozy evenings with friends or family together with some drinks then this is for you! Tasty, out of this world food, great beer and a big selection of shots and cocktails in a small, modest, authentic location which is visited by a lot locals. We felt very welcome, got an English menu and could also order in English. The food was the best we had so far during our trip to the town - and the prices were very fair (lots of beers below 30 CZK, lots of main courses below 200 CZK). Besides Burgers and Steaks the U Havrana offers some very convincing Czech dishes as well as excellent deserts - all with generous servings. For the later evening you can find snacks like peanuts, almonds, or chips on the menu, while good rock music is playing in the background. Tip: try the grilled pork neck in pepper, with fried egg and home made potato pancakes. Awesome! Definitively worth a visit, even it may be some minutes to go for you! Short note: this is a smokers restaurant, so of you are sensitive this may annoy you.

Super tasty food (mainly Czech) and beers for a very low price. Place is located few metres from Wenceslas Square so if you fancy a proper Czech food and good beer make sure to stop by.
