Restaurace U Potoka Hostivice

We visited the U Potoka restaurant for the first and last time yesterday. The waitress's behavior (dark-haired, with glasses) was completely at odds with good manners. Her colleague (dear, thank you) brought me a different main course than the one I ordered. Subsequently, the waitress, extremely arrogant and in a raised voice, came to explain to us that we had made a mistake, she is absolutely sure of that. Over half the restaurant subsequently reprimanded us that next time we had to say what we wanted. I came to the bar with a request that they no longer prepare the original dish, after this exit, of course, I didn't want anything else. I also told the waitress that I would expect an apology in such a case. Her reaction was that she would definitely not apologize for anything because she did not make a mistake (an apology would be appropriate, especially for completely rude behavior). How we were or were not satisfied with the food is irrelevant in this case, because it does not change the fact that we definitely do not recommend Restaurant U Potoka after yesterday's experience.

The food was delicious but a little salted. The average visual design does not inspire, but it makes you feel like you are in a restaurant and not in a dining room. The environment of the restaurant was clean and quiet, the interior was again rather boring, but not offensive. The service was rather a little worse, although it was not unpleasant - the waitress devoted every free second to the debate behind the bar and I always had to apply for services. The service on her part was very impersonal, and it was clear that she would like to do a completely different job than serving. Her colleague, although he showed real interest at the very end, looked like a living stuffed animal dressed in a suit standing there so that he wouldn't interfere too much, but so that he could be seen and people could get enough of the cute stuffed animal and pay little attention to the surroundings. TOILETS are the main reason for such a strict evaluation. Nowadays, when toilets are such an important indicator of a company's culture, I would not expect a "peeing wall" like at a festival. Also, imaginative but leaky doors with almost impossible and unhygienic closing come to me well below the level. The overall impression was completed by a daily menu with "rice". If you want a relatively expensive cash and you only drive through Hostivice, then you will probably manage it, I will look for another restaurant next time and I will definitely not return to this in the foreseeable future.

In the Restaurant by the stream, we decided to organize our mother's birthday. And because we are a large family and did not want to arrange it at home, we decided on this restaurant, which we have recently liked. As a native Hostivičák, I appreciate that there is just such a cozy "pub" right here in Hostivice. Despite the fact that we have been to the restaurant several times, we had no idea about the lounge upstairs. It is cozy there and very tastefully decorated. We appreciated both the opportunity to play your own music and pleasant privacy. From the very beginning of menu planning, it was clear that these were professionals who understood their work. It doesn't matter what they have on the menu, they will prepare you basically anything you want. Everyone liked it very much, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. We would like to thank the chef for the gastronomic experience and the young waitresses for their willingness and helpfulness. In the end, the luxurious mini cakes from the local confectioner Lucky Vávrová did not make a mistake. We will always be happy to return here. Thank you all for a wonderful Saturday afternoon :-)
