★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been visiting this place each year several times. Last year we would give 5 stars but things changed. The portions are definitely smaller. Last year a portion meant a feast but now we had to go somewhere else and eat again. The dish called Kapri hranolky was served with some potatoes back then. Now it is just a portion of fish with some deep. Nothing bad with the taste, it is still great but it is not the same as it used to be. The staff changed and we truly miss the lady with the big smile on her face who created a unique atmosphere here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Built in 1677 and formerly an armoury and then stables, ZDROJ is next to the river and has great views of the castle and tower.
The salmon on a bed of cous cous and corgette was cooked well and enjoyable.
Unlike the beef which came with cranberry sauce and whipped cream on top and was overly sweet. Four discs of bread sat on the side of the plate, bathing in the gravy.
The fish soup was - ironically - overly watery.
It rained twice while we there. Staff suggested we moved inside but we were put off by how dark and pokey it was so preferred not.
Soup, two mains, and two drinks came to Kc825 before tip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A waitress had a very lousy attitude. When I called her to order, she yelled back at me. It was an unbelievable attitude. I understood why this restaurant doesn’t have good reputations even with nice views. Never recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice view by the river and fast friendly service. We did not have meals but we had coffee and dessert. The crepe with orange jam was very good, but the apple strudel was just meh. Overall, good experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It doesn’t look like much but the fish here is really excellent - it is the restaurant of the local fishing society, so all the fish is local and fresh. Will definitely return whenever I’m next in Krumlov!
