Naprosto nenápadné místo zvenku, o to krásnější uvnitř. Opravdový kostel uprostřed vnitrobloku budov. Krása...
Absolutely inconspicuous place on the outside, all the more beautiful on the inside. A real church in the middle of the courtyard of buildings. Beauty...

Petra a Pavla, v kostelní lodi sochy sv. Anežky České, sv. Jana Nepomuckého, sv. Antonína, sv. Josefa, sv. Ludmily a sv. Vojtěcha, později přibyly i sochy sv. Prokopa a sv. Víta. Malby křížové cesty a obrazy sv. Very strange sacral building. So far, I have encountered something similar in the territory of Prague only in the case of the Bethlehem Chapel in Žižkov in Prokopova Street. The Shrine of Christ the King is a functionalist single-nave flat-ceilinged Roman Catholic parish church hidden inside a block of apartment buildings. From the street, only the large inscription of the Shrine of Christ the King above the entrance of the apartment building is conspicuous, the courtyard around the church is not publicly accessible. In 1923, the Church Association was founded, which sought to build a church in Vysočany. On the land donated to the association by the Dominican order, the city council did not want to allow the construction at that place, and offered the land behind the Vysočany factories available instead. As a compromise solution, the current land was eventually sold to the association, but on the condition that an apartment building be built in front of the church. The sanctuary object together with the house No. 658 were built in the years 1929-1931 according to the design of the architect O. Nekvasil. The sculptural decoration is mainly the work of Damián Pešan, who created a statue of Christ the King for the church, the statue of St. Peter and Paul in the presbytery, the statue of St. Anežka Česká, st. John of Nepomuk, St. Anthony, St. Joseph, St. Ludmila and St. Vojtěch in the nave. Later statues of St. Procopius and St. Vitus were added. Paintings of the Stations of the Cross and paintings of St. Wenceslas and the Virgin Mary for the side altars was created by Zikmund Rudl. There is also a non-traditional ceramic nativity scene in the church. The sanctuary was consecrated on September 7, 1930. In 1917, Pope Benedict XV established the feast of Christ the King, so the church received this consecration as one of the very few in Czech. The unusual designation "sanctuary" was enforced by the town hall management - the building could not be described as a church. Since 2003, the building has been protected as a cultural monument.

A Catholic church that, at first glance, perhaps resembles entering a sanctuary of other religions. Anyway, there is a Roman Catholic church in the courtyard. Masses are held three times a week (Wed, Fri - 17:00 and Sun - 8:30), with 99% starting late.
