Nice to make the train stop here.

Železnice, jako moderní způsob přepravy, dorazila do Rokycanské kotliny v 60.letech 19.století. V rozmezí několika let proběhla výstavba obou tratí, které dodnes tvoří síť vlakové dopravy v Rokycanech. 14. Railways, as a modern way of transport, arrived to Rokycany in the 1960s. On July 14, 1862, the Prague-Pilsen railway line was launched. Rokycany gained a connection with the world. The central building of the Yearscan railway station was the station No. 310 / II. This property is located in the city center, next to the Sokol House at the southern end of the street "Svazu bojovníků za svobodu". It was built in 1861-62 as part of a set of technical constructions connected with the operation of the railway line. It is a simple Classicist storey building, built in the typical style of the Austrian "erar". On the ground floor there was a hall with a ticket, 2 offices, a luggage storage room and a waiting room. On the first floor there were 2 apartments, one of which was the head of the station. From the beginning of the 20th century, the station was criticized as unsatisfactory. The system solution, however, came a further 15 years later, when a brand new station building was built. The new railway station occupied an elevated position, which still underlines its height character. At the highest point, the station has five floors, which until the 1960s was an unbeatable altitude record. The railway station lies on the border of functionalism, art-deco style and older rondocubism.

The station building dates from around 1915, when the old reception building (1862) was replaced by a new, more functional one. Its style is somewhere between functionalism, Art Deco style and older Rondokubismus. Especially since the last renovation, it can be quite impressive.

Quiet station, no mess. I wish there were more such stations. But it is true that I no longer use much of this type of transport. So I'll see what awaits me on the train.
