★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An excellent place in Prague specifically to play chess. There are dedicated tables with in-built boards, and also programmable, digital chess clocks. The atmosphere is great, the chess pieces are weighty, and there is some basic service offering a selection of hot and cold drinks. There is also a library of chess books in various languages, although I am not sure how that works. Highly recommended for a quiet break in the heart of the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to spend an afternoon playing chess when you’ve exhausted all the typical tourist areas. It’s a bit fiddly o get into you’ve got to take an elevator to the hotel EA and the change elevators to go down two floors. The Russian honey cal is decent and prices aren’t too bad
