Šalanda Karlín - Thámova 18
Prostředím jsme ještě víc chtěli umocňovat zážitek z výborného piva, skvělé obsluhy a unikátní atmosféry. Proto jsme začali hledat náměty v celém procesu – od výroby v pivovaru přes nejrůznější způsoby čepování až po nezbytné pivní rituály a následnou konzumaci.
Tyto nově vybavené Krušovické Šalandy najdete například v Praze na Hlavním nádraží nebo v Řepích. Třetí koncept navržený speciálně pro potřeby menších měst nabízí Šalanda v Mělníku. Všechny tři typy našich restaurací jsou svým architektonickým pojetím odlišné. Oběd nebo večerní pivo s přáteli vám ale jistě bude chutnat v každé z nich.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent Czech food and friendly service. Portion size was just right. The duck was crispy, but juicy inside, could've used some more sauce, though. Unfortunately they were out of green beer, which was why we came here in the first place. Also I found it a bit odd, that the waiter specifically asked for a tip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lunch meals range from 3* to 4*. The staff is usually very busy and not very nice. The interior design with lots of wooden cladding.
There is an issue with tap water: I've always asked for a glass of tap water with my lunch which was usually free. But last time the waitress just brought me a big 1l jar of water without telling me that it costs 50CZK... I asked her about it and she insisted they do not serve glasses of water. Funny thing is they have a glass of lemonade for 15 CZK with lunch, but not a glass of tap water... I would be even willing to pay for it like 10CZK, but not 50 CZK for 1l that I cannot drink.

The food was good, we had vegetarian food and a the Šalanda Burger.
The meet of the Šalanda Burger (in the picture) was very dry. But the rest was good.

Firstly, I wanted to try the famous Pork Knuckle that the Czech Republic offers, and secondly, it was the cheapest I could find for the portion size you got. I ordered said Knuckle and my partner ordered the crispy duck, as well as 2 bottle of cola each as well. I must say, for a total of £22, I really couldn't fault it. The staff were great, were really attentative and talkative, food came quickly and cooked perfectly. We did think about walking here but decided to get an Uber, but it was 100% worth it. They do seem to have a good bar selection as well
