Pokud přijedete do Sázavy vlakem a budete očekávat majestátnost a krásu zdejšího slovutného kláštera, buďte ještě chvíli trpěliví. Stanice i blízké okolí (bohužel to přikloněné k řece Sázavě a tím i ke klášternímu komplexu) vypadá jak z osmdesátých let minulého století. Když ale proběhnete panelákovou zástavbou severně od vlakového nádraží, pak můžete trochu vydechnout a užít si silnou a důležitou část české historie. Název stanice "Sázava-Černé Budy" byl zavádějící a matoucí, proto byl v roce 2017 změněn. If you come to Sázava by train and expect the majesty and the beauty of the local monastery, be patient for a while. Both the station and the surrounding area (unfortunately the one inclined towards the Sázava river and thus also to the monastery complex) looks like in the eighties of the last century. But if you go through a block of flats area north of the train station, then you can breathe a little and enjoy a strong and important part of Czech history. The name of the station "Sázava-Černé Budy" was misleading and confusing, so it was changed in 2017. Part of Černé Budy, where the monastery is located, lies on the right bank of Sázava river. The name was derived from the settlers' houses around the monastery, which had been blacked out as time passed by. The name apparently arose only in later times and was not used until the 16th century. It was a separate village until the beginning of the 2nd. world war. For the small two-track railway station, a space in the broad fields on the left bank of the river Sázava (track kilometer 45.0) was chosen during the construction of the railway line Kolín - Čerčany at the turn of the 19th and 20th century. The new railway station was located about one kilometer from the left-bank market town of Sázava, which lay in the southwest direction. The opening of the entire railway line, including Sázava-Budy railway station, took place on August 1, 1901, and five days later, another stop was opened about one kilometer southwest of the station near Sázava, from where it was easy to get past the bridge to the monastery and Černé Budy. A newer settlement connected both sites during the 20th century.
