★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nejbližší turistická stezka je červená a vede na Děvín z Hamru na Jezeře. Ze západu prochází kolem Schachtsteinu Hamerský modrý okruh. Schachtstein je součástí přírodní památky Děvín a Ostrý. Vrch je unikátní starým důlním dílem dochovaným po těžbě železné rudy v 17. a 18. století. Tvoří ho 17 m hluboký a asi 2 m široký příkop spojený se štolou. Samotné důlní dílo Schachtsteinu je zatím nepřístupné.
 The nearest hiking trail is red and leads to Děvín from Hamr na Jezeře. From the west, the Hamer Blue Circuit passes by Schachtstein. Schachtstein is part of the natural monuments Děvín and Ostrý. The hill is unique for its old mining work preserved after iron ore mining in the 17th and 18th centuries. It consists of a 17 m deep and about 2 m wide moat connected to the gallery. The Schachtstein mine itself is still inaccessible.
