Barokní terasovitá zahrada italského s výměrou 2,68 ha a výškovým rozdílem 70 metrů vznikla, spolu s palácem, okolo roku 1650 zásluhou velkopřevora řádu maltézských rytířů a vojenského velitele Prahy, hrabě Rudolfa Colloredo-Waldsee, rakousko-uherského generála. The Baroque Italian terraced garden with an area of 2.68 hectares and a height difference of 70 meters was created, together with the palace, around 1650 thanks to the Grand Priest of the Knights of Malta and the military commander of Prague, Count Rudolf Colloredo-Waldsee, Austrian-Hungarian general. It´s next Baroque adaptation was signed by Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel and Giovanni Battista Alliprandi. At the end of the 18th century it was also rebuilt in the spirit of English landscape style. Unfortunately, it is currently unavailable to the public. Since 1924, the United States use Schönborn Palace as an embassy.

This particular garden is closed to public as it's part of the US Embassy. Not sure what everyone here is reviewing... Probably all the other gardens around it...

Lovely garden, full of edible fruit trees. There are apples, pears, plums, and almonds that I saw. A nice break from the urban sightseeing.

Very pretty both the gardens and the gorgeous ancient buildings with their steeples reaching for the sky. Keep your camera or phone ready to capture the moments for a lifetime!
