Count Rudolf Colloredo-Wallsee built the Schönborn Palace or Collored Palace in the years 1643-56 probably according to the plans of Carlo Lurago.
The extensive Baroque palace has been serving since the 1st Czechoslovak Republic by the US Embassy. It includes a large garden, which is undergoing reconstruction. At the end is a popular pavilion, where even during the communist totalitarianism flew the American flag.
