★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A superb museum. Lots of galleries but we focused on the local history, upstairs. It is beautifully presented and through a series of tableaux, models and artifacts you see the development of the town and its buildings, industry, literature, arts, etc. A special exhibition of the wartime experience of the Jewish people of Ostrava was a surprise and joy as this is the purpose of our trip and was largely absent in Ostrava itself.
