Sloup v horní části náměstí u kostela Nejsvětější Trojice pochází z roku 1716. Jedná se o pískovcový sloup zakončený plastikou sv. Vavřince, jednoho z křesťanských patronů proti požárům. Na přední straně je německý nápis podle nějž byla plastika restaurována roku 1802, v upomínku na požár, který v Jiřetíně vypukl 11. srpna 1799. Podle tradice celou pískovcovou skulpturu vytesal místní kameník Wieden z domu č.p. 33. Poslední restaurátorské práce byly provedeny akademickým sochařem Bílkem z Telnice v roce 1999.
