You can find the statue of a saint in a rock gorge on the way from Doubravice to Lázně Sedmihorek on a green hiking trail. The Baroque sculpture was created by the workshop of the Turnov stonemason František Fiala at the expense of the governor of the Hruboskal estate, Václav Ignác Miksch, in 1735. The saint guards the Prokop Cave - one of the many broken notches of the Chain Tower that rises above the cave. According to legend, the Prokop Cave is one of the entrances to the bowels of hell, which is why St. Prokop also guards the peace of passers-by (now also tourists). Prokop was a Benedictine monk in the Břevnov monastery and in the period after the assassination of the Slavník family (995) he went to a cave where he lived a hermit life. In his time he was a sought-after hermit and a small monastic settlement was established around his hermitage, from which the Sázava Monastery was gradually being built with the support of Prince Oldřich and Prince Břetislav. Saint Procopius became his first abbot and also died here in 1053. Saint Prokop is the patron saint of Bohemia and peasants and miners.
