Sculpture of St. Kosma and St. Damian pillar # 15, northern side (the bridge side following the river flow). Author: Jan Oldřich Mayer in 1709 donor: Faculty of Medicine The sculpture depicts Jesus Christ the Savior of the World (Salvator Mundi) and two holy twin brothers Kosma and Damian who are dressed as professors of Charles University. They hold the medicine cups and palm branches - symbols of martyrdom. Both saints are the patrons of doctors. On the left side of Jesus St. Kosma stands, on the right we can see St. Damian. On st. Kosma´s cup there is a Latin script: "It has been established by medical art", on Damián's pot we can read: "This is the cure of life". Sv. Autor: Jan Oldřich Mayer, r. 1709, donátor: lékařská fakulta Na sousoší je Ježíš Kristus jako Spasitel světa (Salvátor Mundi) a dva svatí bratři, dvojčata Kosma a Damián, kteří jsou oblečeni jako profesoři Karlovy univerzity. V rukou drží nádoby s léky a palmové větve, symbol mučednictví. Oba svatí bratři jsou patroni lékařů. Po Ježíšově levé straně stojí sv. Kosma, na pravé straně je sv. Damián. Na nádobce sv. Kosmy je latinský napis: "Tak stanovilo lékařské umění", na Damiánově nádobě: "Toto je lék života."
