Nice church

A cozy country church, which forms the dominant feature of the village visible to the wider area. The church was built in the late Baroque style between 1756-1763 on the site of an older building from 1551, which burned down in 1756. Since 1958, the church has been protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The building is designed as a single nave with a semicircular closed chancel. The western facade is triaxial, concavely curved at the sides. It is divided by pilasters and finished with a gable with statues of St. Peter and Paul from 1898. On the south side of the church is a square sacristy. The main altar in the interior of the church is a ciborium with statues of saints. There are also two parallel side altars. The illusory altar architecture with two saints, which is painted on the east wall, is interesting. It also includes a hanging painting of the Ascension of the Lord by J. Q. Jahn from 1760. In the presbytery there is a very well-preserved painting of St. Wenceslas from the middle of the 18th century. The walls are further decorated with four paintings of evangelists from 1720-30.
