Today's Orthodox Church was built between 1549-1568 as a Catholic chateau chapel, later in 1798-1806 rebuilt in romantic Gothic, which with its tender beauty underlined white color gets everyone's heart. Cultural monument of the Czech Republic. Under the building is the tomb of the Lords of Vřesovice, who had the church built. It has been serving the Orthodox Church since 1950.

Podle přiložených foto v předcházející recenzi autora.Sergio Duque, jde pravděpodobně o záměnu. Správně jde o Zámeckou kapli Povýšení sv. Kříže, upravenou pro potřeby ortodoxních církví. V interieru je ikonostas a prostor hl. oltáře má střdmou gotizující úpravu s pravoslavným dvojitým křížem ( žádné baroko ) .
According to the attached photo in the previous review by Sergio Duque, this is probably a confusion. Rightly it is the Castle Chapel of the Elevation of St. Cross, adapted for the needs of Orthodox churches. The interior is iconostasis and space hl. The altar has a steep Gothic finish with an Orthodox double cross (no Baroque).

The church was added to the chateau in 1549-68 by the owner of the Teplice estate Volf of Vřesovice in late Gothic or Early Renaissance style, for the needs of the family of the owners and the Protestant visitors to the spa. During the construction of the tower the builders were used blocks from the Roman basilica of the monastery of St. John the Baptist. Below the church there is a tomb of the Vřesovci family. In the middle of the 17th century, the square chapel of St. Antonin on the north side (facing in direction to the square). At the end of the 17th century as part of the reconstruction of the entire chateau, the church acquired a new form from the outside and in the interior of the Romantic Gothic style. This remodeling is one of the very first manifestations of romantic style in Bohemia. From the end of the 19th century the church served sporadically for the orthodox worship of the spa guests and since 1950 permanently serves for local Orthodox Church.

Neglected building A building with a shamefully neglected exterior in a dug out neighborhood. Wikipedia: "It was originally built as a Catholic church for the needs of the family of the chateau owners and guests of the Teplice spa [3] (but remained a chapel [4]) in 1549-1586 by the owner of Teplice manor Volf of Vřesovice in late Gothic or early Renaissance. The tower was built using blocks from the Romanesque basilica of the monastery of St. John the Baptist and the tomb of the Lords of Vřesovice was built under the building and a square chapel of St. Anthony was added in the middle of the 17th century. -1806 was reconstructed in romantic Gothic style and the tower was raised. [3] Thanks to its reconstruction, the chapel (church) was one of the first manifestations of romantic style in Bohemia, since the end of the 19th century its premises served sporadically for Orthodox worship to spa guests. It has served the needs of the Orthodox rituals since 1950. An iconostasis in front of the main altar also dates back to the same year. [3] services are held here on Sundays and public holidays from 10 am. [1] In 2016 there were in the side chapel of st. Clari's newly reverently exposed relics of St. Clare."
