Quite a nice church, at the bottom of the churches I was there and its history is quite diverse. Definitely worth a look.

A nice little church in old Bohnice, where I used to go to Christmas and Easter masses regularly.

Kostel - tehdy Sv. Petra - vysvětil pražský biskup Daniel. Potvrzuje to dochovaná pergamenová zakládací listina (autentika). Petra a Pavla... Kostel je památkově chráněn.
During the consecration of the church on 30 May 1158 was also present King Vladislav I together with Queen Judith. Church - then Sv. Peter - consecrated bishop Daniel of Prague. This is confirmed by the preserved parchment charter (authenticity). After modifications in the fourteenth century consecrated again, since then St. Peter and Paul ... The church is listed.

It is a beautiful small church in Staré Bohnice, whose interior will "get you". And when you're near him and looking around, you feel like you're in the country. The wall of tall "blocks of flats" of Bohnice housing estate, which are about 400 meters away from you, is no longer visible.

To už byly Bohnice součástí statků nejvyššího purkrabství. Jednopatrová barokní budova fary byla postavena 1738. According to some authors, today's church has an early medieval origin documented by a consecration document from the altar from 1158. It was found in 1790 in a lead box during the dismantling of the old main altar. The deed was issued on the occasion of the consecration of the church, which was also attended by the first Czech King Vladislav II. and Queen Judith. The church was originally a single-nave rectangular building with a semicircular apse on the east side, built of marl blocks. It was originally consecrated only to St. Peter, which was very common in the first centuries of the Christianity in Bohemia, similar to the consecration to the Virgin Mary or St. Clement. The dedication to St. Paul was probably added during the 14th century. The parish church in Bohnice is mentioned in 1360. During the Thirty Years' War, it was looted and in 1673, after rebuilding, consecrated again. Bohnice was already part of the estates of the highest burgrave's office. The neighboring one-storey Baroque rectory object was built in 1738.
