Malebný bubenečský kostelík, kde aktuálně působí pan kněz Mgr. Miloš Szabo Th.D. doporučuji navštívit nejen kostelík, ale i nějakou tu mši!.

Pěkný kostel a především moc příjemná farnost.
Nice church and above all a very pleasant parish. We like to go back. Close to the Stromovka Park and the Na Slamník pub with lone beer, so everyone gets to their ...

The first mention of the church dates back to 1313. The historical documents mention it as a parish for the first time in 1352. We will never find its original form again, but it was probably a Romanesque building (rotunda) similar to other buildings in Prague of that time. Today's church is built in Classicist style. It is the only sacral building of this kind in Prague. Originally there was a was also a cemetery around the church. An unsuitable place with an unstable subsoil caused the building to be repaired in 1810 and also modified by Josef Zobl, and further modifications were made in 1861. In 1870 clocks were installed in the tower, financed by the knight Adalbert (Vojtěch) Lanna. Originally, the church was surrounded by a cemetery, but today only a high enclosure wall remained on the southern side of the church. In the wall (on the opposite side of the church portal) is a beautiful baroque alcove chapel with a statue of st. John of Nepomuk in traditional clothing with a raised hand that is missing a cross. It is accessible by a short staircase. Pilasters with Corinthian knobs frame the niche chapel. The chapel is enclosed by a low decorative wrought iron. The sculpture of a saint from the mid-18th century originally stood by the municipal Ovenec fountain (today´s name "Bubeneč" is a garbled form of the word "Ovenec").

Krásné místo, kostel nedaleko vstupu do parku Stromovka. Klasicistní architektura jediná svého druhu na území města Prahy, původně barokní.
Beautiful place, a church near the entrance to Stromovka Park. Classicist architecture, the only one of its kind in the city of Prague, originally Baroque.

A small cozy church, located near the Sormovka park, involuntarily attracts attention not for its pomp and colorfulness, like many churches in the Czech capital, but for its modesty and elegance. There is a clock on the top of the dome of the church. The church was built in the classical style in 1801. Architect Matei Shma. In 1809, Josef Zobel made changes to the appearance of the temple. The church was built on the site of an older temple (1313).
