★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a solidly good Czech restaurant with carefully prepared food and a stylish, pleasant atmosphere. There are several seating areas, including a section outside with a gorgeous view of Freedom Square (Namest svobody). What stands out at Statl is the service — uncommonly competent and friendly for the Czech Republic. We have gone several times and have always been impressed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Because of the location of the restaurant, the place was totally full on working day during lunch time. I had chicken steak with ham and cheese, American potatoes and garlic dip, which was slightly modified daily lunch menu (I asked to change French fries to American potatoes - it was possible and thumb up for that). The taste was ok, but I wouldn't go back to the restaurant because of the taste of its meals.
I was able to pay with Sodexo meal voucher card, which is another plus.
In general, I would recommend the restaurant mostly in a case you like Czech cuisine.
