M	Milan Oxalis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Byl jsem zde na Valentinskou večeři a musím říct neskutečný zážitek! Rozhodoval jsem se mezi několika valentýnskými menu a to zde mi přišlo nejnápaditější navíc neskutečné v porovnání cena výkon!!!! a realita to jenom potvrdila, no spíše předčila očekávání. Začalo to velmi milým, nesmírně vstřícný, pozorným a hlavně nevtíravým servisem. Zahájení proseccem obzvláště v tento den mi nepřišlo ničím výjimečným ale hned první chod - Parmská šunka s cantaloupe melounem a carpaccio z červené nakládané řepy s kozím sýrem (ano opravdu byla jen nakládaná a ne vařená) byl skvělý - zvláště když jsme s partnerkou degustovali oba chody dohromady... . jako další chod krém z kořene manioku s grilovanou krevetou byl taktéž úžasný..., velmi dobrý tah byl před hlavním chodem zařadit sorbet.... a ten podávaný grapefruitový zakápnutý ginem neměl chybu.... . Vždy mě dokáží dostat k úšklebku valentinská menu sestavená z lososa a vepřové panenky.... žádná originalita.... nebo ryba a steak... no tady ryba a steak, ale poprali se s tím skvěle... Filet pražmy se špenátovými noky, creme fraiche s citronovou kůrou, losový kaviár a champagne pěna bylo super chuťově vyvážené a velmi příjemné. Co mě ale překvapilo tak byl steak.... byl filovaný, krásně připravený na médium a rozpadal se na jazyku slaninová otýpka se zelenými fazolkami - jak je mi normálně protivná byla skvěle udělaná a vychucená a gratinované smetanové brambory a silná masová šťáva s hrubozrnnou hořčicí taky neměla chybu. A jestli něco v celém menu - které bylo skvěle vyvážené - vyniklo tak dezert. Jahody se zeleným nakládaným pepřem, letitým balsamikovým octem a chilli belgickou čokoládou. Přesně takhle si představuji valentinský desert příjemně sladký, rafinovaně nakyslý s jemně pálivým ocáskem. Užili jsme si zde velmi příjemný večer s úžasným, perfektně připraveným jídlem a velmi profesionálním servisem a za mě je tato restaurace jedna z nejlepších a svého druhu nejlepší v Brně. Moc rád se sem budu vracet! I was here for Valentine's Dinner and I have to say an incredible experience! I was deciding between several Valentine's menus and here I found the most imaginative extra unreal in comparison price performance !!!! and reality only confirmed it, but rather exceeded expectations. It started with a very nice, extremely helpful, attentive and, most importantly, unobtrusive service. The start with prosecco especially on this day did not seem exceptional to me, but the first course - Parma ham with cantaloupe melon and red pickled beetroot carpaccio with goat cheese (yes it was really just pickled and not cooked) was great - especially when my partner and I tasted both courses together .... as another course the cream of cassava root with grilled shrimp was also amazing ..., a very good move was to include a sorbet before the main course .... and the served grapefruit dripped with gin was not wrong ..... Valentine's menu made of salmon and pork tenderloin can always make me smirk .... no originality .... or fish and steak ... well here fish and steak, but they fought it well ... Sea bream fillet with spinach gnocchi, creme fraiche with lemon zest, elk caviar and champagne mousse was super tastefully balanced and very pleasant. But what surprised me was the steak .... it was made up, beautifully prepared for medium and crumbled on the tongue bacon with green beans - how annoying I normally was was well made and flavored and gratinated creamy potatoes and strong meat juice with coarse mustard she also had no mistake. And if something in the whole menu - which was perfectly balanced - the dessert stood out. Strawberries with green pickled pepper, aged balsamic vinegar and chilli Belgian chocolate. This is exactly how I imagine a Valentine's dessert that is pleasantly sweet, refined and sour with a mildly hot tail. We enjoyed a very pleasant evening with amazing, perfectly prepared food and very professional service, and for me this restaurant is one of the best and best of its kind in Brno. I would love to come back here!

I arrived ahead of the lunch crowd and was promptly greeted by a pleasant gentleman who appeared to be a head waiter or maitre’ D. There were very few people in the restaurant. At least four- five young wait staff stood (almost at attention)waiting for people to serve. I asked to see a menu in English and enjoyed imagining all the game meats they were seasonally offering as well as traditional Czech meals. As other people entered they were promptly seated. I was ignored standing at the bar until I approached a wait person and asked to be seated. She looked around disappeared, and after a noticeable wait, returned to seat me in the back area of nice booths. The menu was appealing. The decor is very cosmopolitan, bright and welcoming. The lunch choices are interesting, nicely presented and varied. The lunch menu seemed reasonably priced. However, the service was poorly matched to the menu and decor. An older woman accompanied a younger wait person with a tray of delectables. I could not easily tell what everyone else seemed to be offered and the wait staff didn’t speak enough English to help me. I asked for water and another young man hesitatingly approaches my table, set it at the edge and took off without pouring any of the water. Service brings this place down to a one boosted by the nice quality food and environment. My husband and I tried again on a Saturday evening to have dinner here. We waited at the bar for about five minutes with none of the wait staff establishment even looking at us. My husband approached one of the staff to ask to be seated. He was told they were only serving people with reservations. I wonder how long the staff could have avoided any eye contact with us if he hadn’t approached!!!

BUT, they are extremely slow here with the service. We ordered side salat for the meal and after 15mins it was still not delivered when we finished the meal. We could choose from apetizers but unlucky for desserts. Then we asked to pay, again waiting. Pitty!

Waiters are well taught but very slow despite there being lots of them. Prices above average. Place is not for average aged. A lot of pensioners who have good cash. Internet inside. Ordered a menu dish for lunch deal. It was a chicken’s leg and rice. Very dry chicken and very few sauce. So dish was very dry. Drank whole glass of good beer but was not rnough because of very dry chicken. Do not recommend.

I had chicken from lunch menu for my lunch and the meal was delicious! But regarding the rest... The waiters are students of high school. That's fine, but if you have fancy restaurant with fancy prices, customer expects more. Me and my friend chose one table. As soon as we sat down, there was one waiter who put a basket with bread at our table. I asked if we can order form lunch menu and he didn't know. Then we got someone else, the waitress, taking our orders. After that, the previous waiter came to our table, took the basket with bread and just walked away without saying anything. Then the waitress came back at told us that one lunch menu meal out of two that the restaurant offers for a day is sold out. It was 12:30. My friend got ordered the second meal form the lunch menu. Then we waited about 30 minutes for our lunch to arrive. I also asked for tapped water. We got a jar with some lemon for 60 crows. I find it unnecessary expensive. Waiting service at the place is kind of chaotic and it doesn't get well with prices and business character of the place. Customers there were sitting in their smart casual clothes. So to sum it up, go to the place if you like well prepared Czech meals, but count with higher prices and somehow chaotic waiting.
