★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Expositions with historic glasswork, watches and paintings to be seen from May to October but opening hours need to he checked advance. Occasionally there are exhibitions held in the castle rooms. Apartmans can be booked and one can enjoy staying in the castle. A large park with many ponds. Cafe with light refreshment and a small playground in the park suitable for families.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During the communist era the castle served as a secondary school, which was romantic but dreadfully expensive. Only after Y2K the city sold the property and have coexisted with the new owners very well ever since. Namely during the Advent, the chateau becomes the HighLight of the city light Xmas show. Should you venture nearby during such period, it is worth visiting the chateau and its gardens, the city centre including the catacombs and bridge across the Sazava river.
